Infiniti is set to launch at next month's New York Auto Show an all-electric concept car, based on the component of the smaller Nissan Leaf but designed more similarly to the G-series coupe. According to the The Detroit Burea, the new EV concept, coming hot on the heels of the Emerg-E, Nissan's EV concept that was on display at the Geneva Motor Show earlier in the month, will carry a few unique design cues that will set it apart from a dull EV.

A 24 kWh battery pack will propel the car, and a 6 kWh charger will allow recharging the battery from fully depleted to reach 100% range in half the time of the Leaf's system. Although defined as a 'concept' it will be very close in shape and features to the production model. Photos displayed are of the 2012 Infiniti Emerg-E Concept.
