Inside Look at Man Who Spent $1.3 Million on One-Off Aventador Boat

One-off

From the season premiere of "Secret Lives of the Super Rich"

CNBC’s “Secret Lives of the Super Rich” is back for a new season and the first episode features the Lamborghini nut that spent a year building a limited edition speedboat to match his Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario Roadster. First shown at the Miami Boat Show in April, restaurant mogul Gino Gargiulo calls his 48-foot water craft the Raging Bull, which comes with a front end, taillights, seats and steering wheel inspired by his $750,000 limited edition droptop supercar.

Power comes from a pair of 1,350-hp twin-turbo Mercury Racing engines, and top speed is rated at 186 mph. But is it faster than the Aventador? That’s a question CNBC attempts to answer in the season premiere, with host Robert Frank having a $1 bet with Gargiulo on the Aventador vs. Aventaboat race.
