Jay Leno reveals one of the perks of working for Pixar.
If you’ve ever wondered whether the guys that created Cars were into, well, cars then the latest installment of Jay Leno’s Garage provides the definitive answer. Pixar Animation Studios is indeed full of gearheads, and for the past 12 years has held a company car show exclusively for employees. Not only do the animators have some pretty cool cars themselves, including a Volvo 1800, Petersen Automotive Museum brought along $25 million worth of classic automobiles such as Steve McQueen’s 1956 Jaguar XKSS and a stunning round-door Rolls-Royce.
Ferrari, Maserati and Porsche also brought along their latest wares, but perhaps the coolest cars at the show were the those used at the Disneyland Autopia ride from 1969 to 1999.
