Is a 3-Door GLA More, or Less, Like a Lifted A-Class?

Render takes away two doors, but is it enough to give the GLA a personality?

Ever since the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz GLA crossover, critics have been complaining that this model offers little more than raising the popular A-Class up a few inches, providing some more ground clearance and more mommy-appeal. But given an imaginative door-chop by Auto Projecos in this rendering, does a three-door GLA give the model more of a reason to live, or does it just make it even more of a confused hatchback posing as an SUV?
