Is James Bond's Epic Lotus Submarine Up For Sale Again?

Classic Cars

It sure looks like it.

About two years ago, one of the most iconic James Bond vehicles ever was officially sold by RM Auctions in London. The vehicle in question was 007’s submersible Lotus Esprit, that appeared in the 1977 film "The Spy Who Loved Me". The car found its way to the auction block after being discovered hiding underneath a pile of blankets in a New York storage container. Amazingly, the container was purchased by an unwitting Long Island building contractor for only $100 in 1989.

That small investment ended up yielding a massive profit when the car was sold for just shy of $1,000,000. Well, it would now appear as if the famous Lotus has surfaced for sale again in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a list price of $1,000,000. However, the listing strangely omits any mention of the car’s famous movie appearance. Could it be a replica?
