If you haven't gotten behind the wheel of a Kia in the past five or so years prepare to be shocked. The South Korean automaker has made a gigantic leap in the quality of the its cars. If you don't believe us and want more proof we invite you to check out the 2016 Kia Optima SX Turbo, the subject of this unboxing review. Much like the Optima SXL we reviewed and were pleasantly surprised by, the Optima SX Turbo is capable of punching above its weight with gorgeous interior and exterior styling.

Powering this Optima is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine making 245 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, the same engine found in the top-tier SXL model.

Kia has spent a ton of cash trying to rebrand itself as a car company that doesn't just build the cheapest models on the market. Cars like the Optima SX Turbo and the Kia Soul, which we also unboxed in a previous video, have convinced us that the automaker has turned the corner. That being said we know many people still doubt the quality of the company's cars and question if they're truly worth the money Kia is asking for them.
