Rumors are swirling.
Rumor has it that the Fisker Karma is about to make a comeback. Fisker, which briefly foreclosed in late 2013, was bought out by the Chinese Wanxiang Group in early 2014. Since the acquisition, Fisker’s new owners have been tight-lipped about what to expect. There was some brief speculation that Fisker was to re-brand itself as "Elux", but this was never verified. It now appears that the company will go by the name Fisker Automotive and Technology Group (FATG) and may release a new version of the luxury hybrid Karma either later this year or in 2016.
To top it off, the new Fisker is likely to be rebuilt in a Moreno Valley, California, factory just a short distance from the Fisker US headquarters in Costa Mesa. Although there is no official sticker price on the new Karma, it will likely be within the range of $140,000 and be a direct competitor with top-end Tesla models.
