Is the Lamborghini Huracan Better Than the Ferrari 458?

Test Drive

That's the question everybody has been asking.

After a decade on the market, Lamborghini has replaced the Gallardo with the Huracan. Undoubtedly it has some big shoes to fill. Fortunately Lamborghini has kept the best and replaced the weakest elements from the Gallardo. Most notably, the old single-clutch gearbox has been eliminated in favor of a dual-clutch unit. What’s more, the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine remains, only this time it’s more powerful and more refined. So has Lamborghini built a Ferrari 458 Italia beater?

If you were to compare the Huracan against the 458 Speciale, then Ferrari would likely take home the trophy. However, Lamborghini has yet to build a hard-core Huracan. But what about the standard 458? Has it finally met its match when pitted against the Huracan? It’s the comparison test that’s bound to happen soon enough.
