GMC focuses on exterior styling for 2016 Sierra.
When it comes to truck sales GM is the king of 2015, so far. Ford is looking to take back the crown but General Motors isn't backing down and is looking to press its advantage by rolling out new models. First we saw a refreshed Silverado and now GMC is teasing a new Sierra. According to the press release customers choose GMC's trucks primarily because of the way they look. This feedback inspired the 2016 Sierra. New styling additions include C-shaped daytime LED running lights and C-shaped LED taillights.
There's also new LED headlights, LED fog lamps, a new grille, front fascia and bumpers. The infotainment system has been updated, likely with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto like the new Silverado received. The styling changes are welcome as the Sierra has had a nondescript look for some time. GMC was mum on other details, saying they're forthcoming. We'll know more soon as the 2016 Sierra will hit showrooms in the fourth quarter of this year. For now you can drool over the teaser photos of the Sierra and Denali. We've thrown in some photos of the current models for comparison's sake.
