Is This AMG's Dedicated GT-Based Panamera Fighter?

The AMG-GT grows more doors and still looks stunning.

It's hard to believe but it has already been almost a year since the reveal of the Mercedes-AMG GT, AMG's own baby that was delivered to the world with the dedicated purpose of entering the true sports car arena and going head to head with the Porsche 911. And according to reports, AMG isn't about to stop there. As Automobile recently reported, the division is hard at work developing the X290 four-passenger coupe, or GT4, which will feature two more doors and take on another Porsche model – this time the Panamera.

A car based on the gorgeous AMG GT and offering just a tad more practicality? Sounds good to us, and it was enough to pique the interest of rendering artist Theophilus Chin. Here we have an idea of what this four-door coupe inspired by the AMG GT could look like. And assuming it would be powered by the same available 510 horsepower 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8, we're pretty sure it would be as luscious as its two-door counterpart.
