Is This The Beginning Of The End For Scion?

Special Edition

Or the beginning of a new start?

Say what youwill about Scion, but in the beginning the automaker placed enthusiasts first. Thehumble brand started back in 2002 with two concepts, one of which turned into the ScionxB. With the Scion xB 686 Parklan Edition, the brand is saying farewell to theboxy vehicle as it's being discontinued at the end of this year. Thisspecial edition is a collaboration between Scion and 686, which is a snowboard technicianapparel company. The xB may not have been our favorite vehicle, but we’re sad to see it go.

Exterior changeson the vehicle include gloss-black 16-inch alloys with the 686 stamped logotie, blacked-out badges, rear license plate garnish, door handles, and sidemirrors. Of course there’s no way to miss the Cocoa Bean Metallic paint colorwith red lines in the front, rear and on the side mirrors. On the inside, the 686Parklan Edition gets quilted patterning and modern cubist camo style reflecting686’s design. Interesting features include zippered seat back pockets and adriver’s side zippered storage pocket. Only 686 units will be built and priced at $19,685, excluding fees.
