It's Happened: First Test Drive of the New Corvette Stingray

And it sounds absolutely glorious.

You’ve been waiting months for this to happen. Up until now, we’ve only been able to see the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray at auto shows, in photos, or the occasional YouTube video driven by GM engineers. But today is different. Thanks to Motor Trend, we now have our first taste of the C7 Corvette Stingray as host Carlos Lago takes one out for a test drive. What’s more, this particular test Vette is equipped with the Z51 Performance Pack, which adds such bits like bigger wheels and an improved exhaust.

Despite the quirks associated with its predecessors, such as a subpar interior, the C7 is a phenomenal improvement. But how does it drive? Check out the video and see for yourself.
