It's Now Possible To Snag A Free Ride In The New 'Ghostbusters' Ecto-1

Movies & TV / Comments

That is if you don't hate the new film already.

The new "Ghostbusters" film hits theaters July 15th, and to drum up interest, Lyft is offering free rides in the new Ecto-1. The ridesharing service is offering the promotion to users in San Francisco, Boston, New York, Washington DC and Los Angeles. On its blog Lyft says that to hail an Ecto-1, all a person needs to do is open the app and select "Ghost Mode." There's no word on the availability of these free rides, but don't expect them to be super easy to snag. You probably won't get one but we still recommend giving it a shot.

Lyft has done silly promotions like this in the past, having famous athletes like Shaq and Jerry Rice go undercover as drivers to create viral videos. Check out the trailer for the promotion here. And FYI: The Twinkies and Hi-C flying around the cabin will be available for free in each Ecto-1 Lyft.
