The Porsche 911 has long held the rightly earned reputation of being the ideal every day sports car that can also take a beating. But now that we're in the age of the computerized car, the latest 911 Turbo S is fully equipped with the latest electronic gizmos. Along with its dual-clutch PDK gearbox, the 560 horsepower Turbo S also has launch control, a feature which provides drivers with ideal acceleration from a standstill.

They don't have to do a thing other than press the right buttons and hit the gas. So how reliable is this system? Can it handle 50 back-to-back launches without a single glitch? That's exactly what Road & Track wanted to find out. This video is just more proof that the human touch, like shifting, may soon become completely pointless.
