The importance of the Model T cannot be overstated. No car has ever changed so much about the world around it. A whole different kind of manufacturing was popularized (not invented by Ford, but never before used on this scale) because otherwise the cars couldn't be built fast enough. And even with the assembly line, Ford struggled to meet demand. But it was an almost absurdly difficult thing to drive, as you will be able to see in this video.

Some of the complicated mechanisms really did make sense in the context of the era, but it's hardly a coincidence that cars aren't operated like this anymore.
