Just wait until the RS GT variant comes along.
Consumer Reports has taken the beautiful Jaguar F-Type Roadster for a test drive. There's nothing particularly enlightening about its findings, citing the Porsche Cayman and Boxster as better handling cars, but calling it the "British Corvette" is a unique take. In other news, Jaguar design boss Ian Callum has announced RS and RS-GT variants of the F-Type Coupe are in the works. Autocar reports the more potent versions of the closed-roof coupe will come with a more powerful engine packaged in a lighter body.
There's no definitive timeframe for the cars, but the RS will likely launch next year, followed a few months later by the RS GT. The future flagship has previously been rumored to have 700 hp and a top speed beyond 200 mph.
