Can't wait for Jaguar to make an I-Pace SVR? There's now an alternative.
British automaker Lister is renowned for taking Jaguars to new extremes. Based on the F-Pace SVR, the Lister LFP is the fastest SUV in the world, with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 pumping out around 670 hp and a top speed of over 200 mph. The Lister LFT-666, on the other hand, is based on the F-Type and is tuned to develop a devilish 666 hp. After focusing on combustion-powered models, Lister has unveiled its first-ever electric performance model based on the Jaguar I-Pace. Say hello to the Lister SUV-E Concept
On the outside, Lister has given the I-Pace an aggressive makeover. At the front, the electric SUV has been fitted with a carbon fiber bumper and splitter, along with a carbon fiber hood.
Similar changes can be found at the back, where Lister has added a carbon fiber rear bumper, rear splitter, and rear spoiler, giving the electric SUV a sportier appearance. The wheel arches have also been extended to house new titanium wheels, which come with carbon-ceramic brakes to give the SUV more stopping power. A fully adjustable suspension sits the SUV-E Concept lower to the ground. According to Lister, these enhancements make the SUV-E Concept 220 pounds lighter than the regular I-Pace, bringing the weight down to 4,481 pounds.
Inside, the Lister SUV-E Concept features a nappa leather interior with a choice of 60 leather colors and 200 stitching colours. All Lister SUV-E models will be built to individual customer specifications in any desired exterior color.
Naturally, the SUV-E Concept boasts more power and torque than the I-Pace, but Lister isn't ready to reveal technical specifications yet. However, the tuner has confirmed that 0-62 mph will take around four seconds. For comparison, the regular Jaguar I-Pace is powered by two electric motors producing a combined 394 horsepower and 512 lb-ft of torque. 0-62 mph takes 4.5 seconds before the I-Pace hits a top speed of 124 mph.
Jaguar has already hinted that a hardcore I-Pace SVR is on the cards, but Lister has already beaten them to it. Production of the Lister SUV-E will be limited depending on customer interest and pre-orders, while pricing is expected to be around £125,000 ($161,352).
