The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the holy grail of British motor events, and showcases some of the best vehicles known to man. It is also the perfect place to debut new models, especially of the British variety, and at this year's event, we'll be introduced to three very exciting models from Jaguar and Land Rover.

Jaguar will be unveiling the F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 which pays tribute to the Jaguar XJR-9's Le Mans endurance victory in 1988. Land Rover fans will get to enjoy the official debut of the new Range Rover Sport, and the eight-seat Land Rover Defender 130. The Jaguar F-Type R will also be blasting up the famous Goodwood hill, and spectators will be able to head to the Jaguar Land Rover stand for a number of interactive experiences.

The new Range Rover Sport will be stretching its legs up the famous hill climb, and will use the opportunity to show off its new chassis architecture, air suspension system, and most importantly, its new 523-horsepower twin-turbo V8 engine. With a 0-60 mph sprint time of only 4.3 seconds, this performance SUV should hurry up the hill in no time. Another fast SUV to look out for is the Jaguar F-Pace SVR Edition 1988. This special edition Jaguar packs a 542-hp punch, and a stunning Midnight Amethyst Gloss paint job with Champagne Gold forged alloy wheels.

Only 394 of these special tribute cars will be sold worldwide. At the slower end of the lineup sits the eight-seater Land Rover Defender 130, an extended version of the much-loved Defender range. The Defender 130 with its Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (iAWD) system will showcase its on-road comfort and performance at this year's festival, and will be offered in S, SE, X-Dynamic SE, X, and First Edition trim levels.

"The Goodwood Festival of Speed is always one of the highlights of our calendar, and it's a fitting reflection of the rate of advancement at Jaguar Land Rover that we're able to present three global dynamic debuts at this year's event. It's a wonderful opportunity for visitors to appreciate some of our fantastic new products, witnessing the very latest innovations in British design and engineering at one of the most iconic venues in the world," said Rawdon Glover, Jaguar Land Rover UK. Those attending the festival will be able to book an F-Type drifting, or Land Rover off-road experience. The Goodwood Festival of Speed kicks off tomorrow and runs until Sunday, June 26.
