Jaguar's been on a role recently with its vehicles, but the automaker is hoping to build its brand in the US. To attract more American drivers, the British automaker is lowering its prices and backing vehicles with an extended free scheduled maintenance plan. Apparently, Jaguar thinks that the brand's high purchase price and maintenance costs are what keep US drivers away from the luxury brand. The automaker might be on to something there. These moves are due to Jaguar's US sales falling by 4.4 percent to 10,221 vehicles through August.

Jaguar plans to lower the prices of its vehicles by $1,500 to $3,000 or increase the amount of standard equipment. According to CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America Joe Eberhardt, the repricing will make "all models significantly more affordable." In addition to the price cuts, Jaguars that are 2016 model year and later will come with a free EliteCare 5 year/60,000-mile scheduled maintenance warranty. "The Jaguar brand is on the eve of a major transformation that will see it dramatically increase its presence in the United States luxury marketplace with an expanded lineup, pricing focused on the core of the luxury market and an all-new ownership package with best-in-class coverage," stated Eberhardt.
