Its first rival: the BMW 3 Series.
Jaguar has been teasing its upcoming entry-level luxury sedan, the XE, for quite some time now. And as the segment prepares for the introduction of the car, which is rumored to be lighter and more agile than the BMW 3 Series, we now have some new renderings of what this baby Jag could look like. While the styling is still all but a guess, we do know that the car will be powered by a family of new four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines, in addition to a V6 engine sourced from the F-Type.
Previously, Jaguar exposed some interesting teaser images featuring “x-ray camouflage” that exposes the car’s insides. The car should be fully revealed at the upcoming Paris Motor Show in October before hitting showrooms in early 2015.
