50-year old man placed camera behind the driver's seat, recorded himself speeding, and posted it on YouTube. He's now in jail.
In what was effectively an open-and-shut case, a Japanese doctor has been jailed for 6 months and fined 1,000 Euros after posting a video of himself driving 3 times the speed limit in his Ferrari 458 Italia.
According to the boastful doctor, "I wanted to make a Ferrari promotional video," which is all well and good, but going 77mph in a 25mph zone is asking for trouble. Japanese paper The Mainichi Daily revealed that the police received a tip about the YouTube video (attached) back in May, which shows the 50-year old donning a nice pair of red driving gloves and nailing the supercar around Fukuoka. Advanced physics was used in calculating the speed of the Italia, based on distance covered and time elapsed, so anyone thinking about showing off in a similar fashion should think twice.
