Jay Leno's Bentley Turbo R

Video

It may not be the most impressive car in his garage, but it’s still a car we’d love to own.

During theEighties, the Bentley Turbo R was the fastest four-door sedan on the road.Introduced at the 1985 Geneva Motor Show, it wasn’t until 1988 that the luxury cruisermade its way Stateside, and soon after the Denim Chin picked one up new. Withsomewhere in the region of 400 hp, 500 lb-ft of torque, and a145-mph top speed, the 6.75-liter V8-powered Turbo R was a revelation for itsday. Twenty years later, it still oozes sophistication, and remains a more-than-capable grand tourer with a suitably opulent interior.

Leno still has plenty of time for the Bentley Turbo R, and it’s easy to see why. Check out the latest Garage episode and you might just be inspired to pick one up second-hand instead of investing in a new Civic.
