The 2022 Jeep Compass was introduced to the US market almost a year ago with some distinctive visual revisions. These highlights were made so that it could appeal more to European consumers but local-spec models arrived soon after with region-specific cues. Jeep has now introduced an Altitude Package for the crossover, almost seven months after the crossover made its local debut at the 2021 Chicago Auto Show.

Jeep says that it's curated this package based on requests received from customers. The feedback revealed that potential buyers of the Compass were looking for a custom look direct from the factory. In doing so, it has applied unique exterior and interior highlights that should help it command more of a presence in the streets. The company only provides one image of the new package but it is a diluted collection of the current High Altitude trim.

Starting from the outside, the Jeep Compass Altitude Package boasts Gloss Black badging and accents which is joined by a set of 18-inch wheels of the same shade. This is complemented by a blacked-out roof and bright exhaust tip to round off the custom street look. Significant changes are made to the interior as well where you will find premium black vinyl and cloth combination seats with black stitching.

This is joined by a premium material upholstery used for the steering wheel, Piano Black accents scattered throughout the cabin, and a chic black headliner. The offering is bolstered by the inclusion of advanced driver assist systems that include full-speed forward collision warning with active braking, blind-spot monitoring, and an active lane management system.

The 2022 Jeep Compass Altitude Package has been priced at $1,645 MSRP and can only be fitted to 4x4 models. Before destination, the Jeep Compass 4x4 range starts at $27,890 for the Sport trim. This includes the Selec-Terrain traction management system which has been developed to help the crossover tackle surfaces that include snow, sand, and mud.

The new Altitude trim joins the previously revealed Limited-based (RED) edition which continues to raise funds for the combat of global health emergencies. This model gets a special Redline Pearl-Coat paint, 19-inch aluminum wheels, and black leather bucket seats. Unique (RED) badging rounds off the distinctive appearance.
