Right now, we're witnessing a new breed of high-performance SUVs with supercar levels of power. Later this month, Aston Martin will unveil the new DBX SUV as the latest super SUV to rival the Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus. This tuned Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, on the other hand, is significantly more powerful than any super SUV currently on the market.

In stock form, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 delivering a substantial 707 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque. That's more than enough power for most people, especially for an SUV. Germany's B&B Tuning clearly disagrees, however, and has taken the Trackhawk to a new extreme with its new tuning kits.

Opt for the company's stage 2 tuning kit, which costs €3,950 ($4,393) in Germany, and the Trackhawk's output increases from 707 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque to an impressive 789 hp and 726 lb-ft of torque. That's 148 more horses than the Lamborghini Urus, which generates 641 hp from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8.

Unsurprisingly, this upgrade has had a profound effect on the performance. In stock form, the Trackhawk can sprint from 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds and top out at 180 mph, but B&B's tuning kit reduces the sprint time to 3.4 seconds and increases the top speed to 186 mph, making it 0.3 seconds quicker off the line and six mph faster than the standard SUV.

It still can't quite match the Urus's top speed, however, as the raging bull tops out at 189.5 mph. Only the Bentley Bentayga Speed beats it in this department, albeit by 0.5 seconds with a top speed of 190 mph, making it the current fastest production SUV in the world.

Alternatively, B&B Tuning is also offering a cheaper Stage 1 kit for €1,498 ($1,666) that increases the output to 730 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. Other available upgrades include a high-performance stainless steel exhaust system with flap control for €5,950 ($6,617) and a €798 ($887) sport spring set lowers the ride height by two inches.
