The Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator are exceptional off-roaders, and their immense popularity is only growing. Part of the reason that people love these cars so much is that they are offered with a multitude of factory-backed packages and options, so the sky is the limit when it comes to customizing them. The most recent were the Xtreme Recon package, which adds highlights like 35-inch tires, and Gorilla Glass windshields, which should help you out in the event of a rock or other debris hitting your front window. The latest option arguably removes protection but makes the Wrangler and Gladiator so much cooler. Meet the Jeep Performance Parts Sunrider Flip Top.

Available for models with the hardtop, the new option adds a front-row foldable soft-top, much like on the adorable Fiat 500C. The idea is that you can now experience the open-air scents and sights of the outdoors without needing to opt for the more compromised soft-top versions of the off-roaders. It's made from "ultra-premium black twill fabric", which Jeep says makes it more than suitable for protecting occupants from the elements when the weather takes a turn for the worse and comes ready to install with mounting rails and hardware. Naturally, you can also have it fitted by your local Jeep dealer.

Available in both the US and Canada, the Sunrider Flip Top for Hardtop, as it is officially named, is suitable for 2018-2021 Wrangler two-door and four-door models, along with 2020-2021 Gladiator models. In the States, it's available now and retails for $895, although we suspect that dealers will charge a few bucks extra for fitment if you're not keen on doing the job yourself. With this addition and other recent offerings like half doors to the Jeep Performance Parts range, there are more than 500 factory-backed Mopar parts across the Jeep lineup. Just when you think the Wrangler can't get any better, Jeep releases another accessory. We wonder what's next.
