Few vehicles spawn more special editions than the Jeep Wrangler. Jeep owners love to be unique, which is why the company caters to these clients with special models that change year-to-year. Last year we spotted a trademark for the name "High Tide," which we assumed would be some sort of appearance package for the Wrangler. Seven months later, Jeep has revealed the new 2022 Wrangler High Tide sporting a new High Velocity Yellow exterior color that will be available across the Wrangler lineup.

The High Tide will make its official debut at the Jeep Beach week in Daytona Beach, Florida from April 24 to May 1, 2022. This special edition model starts at $49,240 (plus a $1,595 destination charge), meaning it's more expensive than a base Rubicon model. In Jeep's defense, the High Tide includes a lot of cool equipment.

The High Tide is based on the lower Sport S model ($36,720), but adds the Xtreme Recon Package that debuted at last year's Chicago Auto Show. This package retails for $3,995, including 35-inch BF Goodrich T/A KO2 tires, 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, a 4.56 rear axle ratio, 1.5-inch factory suspension lift, tuned shocks, hinge-gate reinforcement, a Mopar jack spacer, tire relocation kit and flared wheel extensions. On top of those upgrades, the High Tide model receives a body-color hardtop, LED lights, rock rails, Sunrider Fliptop, Gorila Glass windshield and special decals.

The first 500 High Tide models will be badged as the Wrangler Jeep Beach special edition with unique "Beach" decals on the hood. Buyers can choose from Hydro Blue, Black, Bright White, StingGray and the new High Velocity Yellow. This new yellow color is also available on the Sport, Sahara, Rubicon, 4xe and 392 trims for $395.

"Along with Easter Jeep Safari in Moab each year, Jeep Beach week in Daytona Beach, Florida, is one of the largest Jeep vehicle events in the country, attracting more than 200,000 visitors and 20,000 Jeep SUVs in 2021 alone," said Jim Morrison, vice president and head of Jeep brand.

"We listen to our customers, so we are celebrating their passion for beach-ready vehicles during this multi-day event with the Wrangler High Tide and Jeep Beach special editions, as well as introducing our newest high-impact, High Velocity yellow exterior color."
