At the moment the BBC hasn't confirmed or denied any of this, but Jeremy Clarkson himself has strongly hinted at what we've feared: his Top Gear tenure could be finished. In his weekly column for the Sun, Clarkson sparked further speculation that he'll quit the BBC and, obviously, Top Gear as well. He didn't outright say "I'm quitting," but it's pretty clear what could be happening within the next few days, or even hours. How so? He referred to himself as a dinosaur.

N/A

"Nature made a mistake when it invented the dinosaur. It was too big, too violent…All dinosaurs died and now, year later, no-one mourns their passing. These big, imposing creatures have no place in a world which has moved on." He then addressed the online #BringBackClarkson petition: "You can start as many campaigns as you like and call on the support of politicians from all sides, but the day must come when you have to wave goodbye to the big monsters, and move on." So there you have it. Do you think it's only a matter of time until the BBC/Clarkson drops the bomb? Even if Clarkson moves on from his current job, he's not exactly the type of guy who'll sit around and do nothing. This won't be the end of Jeremy Clarkson.
