The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is one of the events we mark on our calendars every year. The Race to the Clouds was postponed this year due to some destructive wildfires in Colorado, however this past weekend saw many cars challenge the vaunted mountain and not all of them reached the finish line safely. Jeremy Foley and his co-pilot were in the Mitsubishi Evo 8 as it went into the corner around mile 16 and, well, the Devil's Playground turn is no laughing matter.

At around the same spot Bobby Regester went off the mountain last year, Foley lost control of his racer and flipped hard - again and again. The Mitsubishi was ripped to shreds. Both were quickly taken to the hospital and one had some serious injuries. Luckily the injuries weren't life-threatening and they can both count themselves lucky after this one.
