Jon Olsson's PPI Design Audi R8 Razor GTR – New Pictures and Details

Tuning / Comments

More pictures and info on the drop-dead-gorgeous, murdered-out bespoke Audi R8 have emerged.

When Swedish skier Jon Olsson first took delivery of the full carbon PPI Design Audi R8 Razor GTR, we only had a few images and details to share. Now a new set of photos have emerged via PPI Design as has more info on the car. First up, the stunning Audi R8 V10 was given a complete carbon-fiber widebody kit, with every panel replaced by a 600 gram carbon mesh and protected by ten layers of lacquer. The glass was also replaced with lightweight racing-grade Makrolon Glass.

As Olsson intends to use the car as a ski-resort cruiser a number of modifications were required, including fitting a hydraulic lift system at the front & rear, and reinforcing the lower valence. The ski box, the most blatant bespoke addition, is finished in carbon-fiber and lined in diamond Alcantara. It also has LED lighting and a secondary power supply for the carbon-look ski boot heaters. A completely bespoke interior is made up of Alcantara with contrasting red stitching and carbon-fiber, while Olsson's sports logo has been embossed on the seats and the carbon-fiber threshold plates.

Other notable features include a new steering wheel, lightweight racing seats (saving 36.8kg) and an aluminum plaque that designates the car. Under the hood the PPI Razor GTR usually has a normally-aspirated V10 with 601hp and 417lb-ft of torque. However that wasn't enough for Olsson who is getting Stasis power upgrades in order to boost power to 710hp. Thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber, the stock car's 1,625kg curb weight has been reduced by 250kg. The result is a 0-62mph sprint time of 3.2 seconds, helped in part by a modified R-tronic gearbox, and a 208mph top speed.
