Mercedes has the AMG range and more hardcore Black Series, BMW has M Performance and the M line, and Audi the S and more potent RS models. With the expansion of the Nismo-tuned model range, Nissan has decided to make things more exclusive by launching a new line of range-topping 'RS' products. Unveiled this week in LA, the 2014 Juke Nismo RS leads the charge, featuring upgrades that add more power, aggressive styling and a sporty cabin inspired by the mental Nissan Juke R.

The Nismo RS keeps the stock Juke's 1.6-liter turbo-four but with beefed up internals to handle the 215 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque that's generated by the model with a new performance six-speed manual and front-wheel drive. Output dips to 211 hp and 184 lb-ft with the CVT and all-wheel drive. Torque vectoring, suspension, electric power steering and brakes have all been upgraded, and the Nismo RS rides on a set of 18-inch alloys. Inside, special touches include Nismo-branded Recaro front seats, an Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel and RS-badged dials. Available only in black, silver or white, the 2014 Nissan Juke Nismo RS will hit showrooms early next year.
