Like watching car videos? Of course you do. But what if you don't have time for an entire episode of Top Gear (or your other favorite car show)? Well, this could be just the show for you.

Hollywood actor Idris Elba and stunt-driver extraordinaire Ken Block have teamed up for a new short video series called, appropriately enough, Elba vs. Block. The series is set to air on a new short-form video platform called Quibi, which is currently in development. And as few details as we may have at this early stage, it already sounds like the show is gonna be great.

Now Ken Block is a name that should need no introduction to car fans, having made his reputation in the popular Gymkhana series (among other Hoonigan endeavors). Idris Elba, however, may be better known to the broader world. The British actor starred in such shows as Luther, The Wire, and The Office, and also played the cosmic gatekeeper Heimdall in Marvel's Thor movies. But he's also a certified car nut, hosting his own show King of Speed, appearing in the new Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw, and hosting videos for Jaguar and Bentley.

The new show will see Block and Elba face off in a series of (ostensibly Top Gear-style) challenges to prove which car and driver is best. It's already finished filming in locations such as London's Docklands and Ibiza, Spain. Each episode will run just seven to ten minutes long, and will be available by subscription on mobile platforms – perfect, in other words, for watching in waiting rooms, on public transit, and, um... other places where you might want to watch a bit of short entertainment of the automotive kind.
