Ever since we saw Ken Block's death defying Climbkhana, we've been wondering how he will top those insane automotive antics in Gymkhana 10. Being the tenth instalment in the series, Block is planning something special – doing donuts in the same location isn't going to cut it this time. To ease the wait, Hoonigan has released an action-packed teaser trailer for Gymkhana 10, and it promises to be the biggest and best one yet. We didn't think we would say this after watching Climbkhana, but it looks like Ken Block has outdone himself.

Last year's Gymkhana 9 saw Block tear up the industrial wasteland of Buffalo in New York in his Ford Focus RS RX rallycross car. Like all Gymkhana films, it was a dazzling display of precision driving. Gymkhana 10 won't be restricted to just one car and one location, however. To up the ante, Gymkhana 10 will feature five cars and five locations in a globe-trotting automotive extravaganza.

So far the only confirmed location is Detroit as Block was recently spotted filming at the location. We get to see him torture the tires of his Hoonicorn Mustang in downtown Detroit in the trailer, and his recently acquired Ford Escort RS Cosworth also makes an appearance at an industrial site. Other locations have yet to be confirmed. The trailer also promises that Gymkhana 10 will feature an all new build, which we get a brief glimpse of. Judging from the shots, it looks like a tuned 1970s Ford F-Series pickup – no doubt it will be a wild beast to tame once it receives the Hoonicorn treatment. Amazon will also be streaming an eight-part behind the scenes series looking at the making of Gymkhana 10.

According to Amazon, The Gymkahana Files will offer "an exclusive look behind the filming, the struggles and the personalities that go into making of one of the biggest viral campaigns of all time, along with the untold stories and never-before-seen footage from Block's previous nine films," Sadly, we'll have to wait until late 2018 for Gymkhana 10 to slide onto YouTube to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the series. From the trailer, it should be well worth the wait. Fasten your seat belts, because Gymkhana 10 is looking like the most insane video in the series yet and we can't wait.
