Ken Block is no stranger to dangerous races and insanely powerful race cars, and his latest build looks set to blow away most of his old machines, including even the legendary Ford Mustang Hoonicorn. Hoonigan's racing division has just announced Block's new car, a Porsche 911 that pays homage to the 1971 Porsche 917/20 "Pink Pig". Known officially as the Hoonipigasus, this one of a kind mid-engine Porsche SVRSR was built by BBi Autosport in collaboration with Hoonigan and Hoonigan Racing Division, and will be Block's weapon of choice for the 2022 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. And you thought he'd just be driving electric Audis from now on.

Block has been up the infamous Pikes Peak before in his 1,400-horsepower Mustang Hoonicorn V2, and back in 2005 in the Group N rally car division, but this time he'll be focusing more on setting a serious time, rather than connecting corners in his insane drift machine. The new car was built to take the title of the fastest car up Pikes Peak and has all the right ingredients to do so: weighing in at just 2,205 pounds, this mid-engine, 4.0-liter, twin-turbo classic Porsche features GPS height-adjusted suspension based on telemetry from previous years, indicating that the car will pre-load the suspension perfectly if Block can maintain the correct line. It also gets wide slick tires and has been set up specifically with Ken Block's driving style in mind. BBi achieved two class wins at last year's event and is the perfect partner with this new venture. By the way, this too produces an astounding 1,400 hp.

The new car will not only stand out from the crowd because of its insane capability, but it also sports an all-new livery designed by Trouble Andrew, better known as Guccighost. The bespoke design pays homage to the 1971 Porsche 917/20 "Pink Pig", a famous Le Mans race car.

"The Pikes Peak Hill Climb is one of the big reasons as to why I'm a rally driver," said Block. "The list of drivers who have raced and won this hill climb includes many of my heroes: Walter Rohrl, Sebastien Loeb, and Rod Millen to name a few. I've always wanted the chance to race Pikes Peak at the top level and compete for an overall win - and with our team and BBi Autosport creating this amazing Porsche, we've got a good shot! I'm stoked to be a part of this iconic race and totally up for the challenge to add my name to those that have gone the fastest overall in the most technically challenging hill climb on the planet."

We'll see if Block and his new toy have what it takes to bring home top honors on Sunday, June 26 for the 100th running of the iconic event.
