Kia Bringing "Stunning Sports Car" to Detroit

Teaser

Designed in California under the watchful eye of Peter Schreyer, new concept will debut on January 13.

Kia has teased a concept described as a “stunning 2+2 sports car” that will debut at next month's Detroit Motor Show. The overhead shot offers little in the form of details, but there's no mistaking this as another Peter Schreyer special, the man responsible for Kia's style transformation over the past decade. And it's going to be pretty. Kia is confident it will deliver “head-turning looks whilst providing superb driving enjoyment” on both road and track.

It bears some resemblance to the Kia Provo Concept that debuted at Geneva earlier this year, and there are also obvious nods to the four-door coupe Kia GT Concept that first appeared at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. More images and info should surface over the coming weeks ahead of the concept's debut on January 13 in Detroit.
