Stylish and affordable, the Kia Forte Koup stood out in an impressive field where contenders included the Ford Fusion Hybrid,and the Nissan 370Z Roadster. The Forte and its brethren were the stand-alone top contenders with a list of features and designs inside and out, making them NADAguides.com's Car of the Year.

Judges mentioned afterwards that 2009 marked many great new entries, but a low price point, Best in Class features, and a great limited powertrain warranty set the decision.
