Kia Gets Us Hyped For The Brand's Fastest Model Ever

Teaser

The new Kia sport sedan will be debuted in January.

It's not that easy to get excited for a new model from Kia. But when the company said that it was building "the fastest-accelerating Kia to date" which "represents a new paradigm of performance, its heart-pounding power encouraging you to grip the wheel a little more tightly," we felt a twinge of arousal. The description of the new sport sedan might be a tad hyperbolic, but there's no doubt it could be a game changer for Kia. We've seen a few leaked images of the final car, but we still know very little about it and Kia wants to keep teasing us.

The South Korean automaker has created its own mini web-series called "The Curve Ahead" to tease its new car. The first video showed the car blasting around the Nurburgring, and the latest trailer shows the car doing 0-62 mph in 5.1 seconds. This makes it the fastest accelerating Kia ever.

Kia has also said that it will reveal the car on January 8, which is also the first day of the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. We will have to wait until then to know more about the car, but we will update you if any news arrives beforehand.
