The Kia Niro is already adored by eco-conscious buyers on a budget and now the South Korean automaker is making it cheaper than ever to lease one. But what if potential buyers simply want the regular Hybrid variant? Well, they're in luck this month, too. CarsDirect reports the Kia Niro, Niro Plug-In Hybrid, and Niro EV have all received price reductions for their leasing programs.

For example, the 2020 Niro LX's monthly lease price has been cut by $20, now listed at $199 a month for 36 months and $2,499 due at signing. To date, this is one of the best lease deals Kia has ever offered for this specific model. However, the Niro PHEV can now cost as little as $213 a month despite it having a $4,900 higher MSRP.

Right now, Kia is offering $6,043 in factory lease cash compared to $3,900 for the Hybrid. Both discounts are fantastic, and even though the PHEV requires a $2,999 up front payment, its effective monthly lease price comes to $282, compared to the Hybrid's $268. But here's where the PHEV will offer more savings: the $1,000 Clean Vehicle Rebate and a $908 Clean Fuel Reward, two incentives not available for the regular Hybrid.

As for the Nio EV, a 2020 model is currently eligible for $13,100 incentive to help offset its $40,210 MSRP. Leasing one can be done at $199 per month for 36 months with a $3,499 up front payment, thus a real monthly cost of $296.

Like the PHEV, it also benefits from those two rebates, only the amounts increase to $2,000 and $1,500, respectively. It's also worth noting these offers are for the 2020 Niros only; Kia isn't even advertising 2021 models on its official USA website. The most likely reason is that the next-generation Niro is expected to debut later this year as an early 2022 model. This month's lease deals, though not available in all 50 states, are designed to help clear out dealer inventory.

Those interested in taking advantage, however, only have a few days to do so since the offers expire on February 1, though we wouldn't be surprised to see them extended or even improved.
