Like most automakers, Kia is busy preparing for the upcoming Paris Motor Show, and this is what it has in store: the 2013 Carens. The companct MPV will be available with either a five- or seven-seat configuration and carry styling akin to the Venga and Cee'd. Though we only have this pair of renderings (which Kia released in inverted colors, for some reason) to hint at what new model may look like, the Carens is expected to share parts with the Cee'd and run on the same 1.6-liter diesel and gasoline engines.

"With a completely fresh, sleek, cab-forward design, lower roofline, longer wheelbase, larger wheels and chrome beltline accent," says Kia of its new mini minivan, "the new Carens has been conceived around the theme 'dynamic space'." The 2013 Kia Carens should arrive by spring of next year. We look forward to seeing Kia's finished product at the Paris Motor Show in late September, where we expect pricing and specs will be released as well.
