Let's just get it over with and state the obvious: the name Kia chose for its Europe-only hatchback is pretty dumb. But the Pro_Cee'd sells well so people don't seem to care about its odd branding. But now that name will be adding a couple more letters to it as the performance oriented GT variant has just been unveiled online ahead of its Geneva Motor Show debut in March. The 2013 Pro_Cee'd GT sports a more aggressive body kit as well as larger front air intakes and LED headlamps.

The honeycomb grille has a "GT" logo and to further add to its more muscular look, there are new side skirts, a restyled rear bumper and a black roof. With its lowered and stiffer suspension, the car rides on a set of 18-inch alloys with red brake calipers. Interior shots haven't been released yet, but sources say drivers will be treated to aluminum pedals, Recaro sports seats and other premium elements. Power will come from a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-pot mated to a six-speed manual. Total output is estimated to be around 200 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Production will likely begin this spring and final pricing will be announced at a later date.
