European hot-hatches beware: Kia has a 200-horsepower turbo Cee'd GT in the works.
Kia recently revealed initial details of both its upcoming GT models, the three-door Cee'd and five-door Pro_cee'd, and now we have the first spy shots of the latter. Power will come from a 1.6-liter direct-injection turbocharged four-pot rated at 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a six-speed manual, the hot hatch is hopeful of a 7.9-second 0-62 mph time. An upgraded chassis and suspension will help handle the extra power, and the GT will also come with 18-inch alloys packed with bigger brakes and red calipers.
To distinguish the GT from the natural-aspirated stock model, Kia has added a new grille, revised headlights, sportier bumpers with LED daytime running lights and two big exhaust pipes. Inside the cabin is rewarded with Recaro seats and aluminum trim.
