Kia has introduced a new concept at the Beijing Motor Show built "with Chinese consumers in mind." Dubbed the K4 Concept, it previews a production model it plans to release later this year. The stylish sedan has slightly smaller proportions than the Kia Optima, with power coming from the carmaker's 1.6-liter Turbo GDi engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch box. Aimed at family-oriented 30 and 40 somethings, the K4 comes with a range of features.

These include a push button engine start system, Kia's "Supervision" instrumentation and UVO infotainment system, a rear-view camera, ESP and six airbags. No word on whether Kia would be rolling this out to other markets, but the South Korean carmaker is confident the K4 will give it the edge in China's mid-size family sedan sector.
