Just a few days ago, Kia released a new teaser video offering a sneak peek at the new Seltos. As the world debut draws closer, the Korean automaker has released a surprisingly revealing video showing off its new compact SUV, as well as confirming when covers will officially come off.

According to Kia Motors India, the new Seltos will show its face on June 20, so there's not long to wait. Compared to the last video, we also get a much clearer look at the front and rear end, as well as more close-ups of the slim headlights and tiger nose grille. Overall, the Seltos is shaping up to be a very sleek-looking SUV and a worthy addition to Kia's expanding lineup.

Kia's teaser campaign has already been made redundant, however, as we've already seen the Seltos completely undisguised thanks to leaked photos of a recent photo shoot. The design looks very similar to the SP Concept. Thanks to its long hood and sharp design lines, the Seltos look surprisingly sporty.

According to Kia, the Seltos is designed to appeal to millennials and sets itself apart from its rivals thanks to a "combination of sophisticated, sporty design and the space and capabilities of a traditional SUV." The latest teaser still doesn't give us a look inside the interior, but Kia has already confirmed the cabin will come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Sound Mood Lighting.

As for powertrain options, the Seltos will ride on the same platform as the Kia Soul, which means we can expect the new compact SUV to be offered with with a 2.0-liter inline-four and a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-four engine. In the Soul, the former delivers 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, while the latter produces 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. The Seltos will also be global model, so it should arrive in US showrooms at some point. Initially, it will go on sale in Korea and other markets in the second half of 2019.
