Kia finally revealed its new logo and slogan last month, which means that we're a step closer to seeing some of the new vehicles that the brand is bringing to our shores in the near future. One of those vehicles is the Sedona, which will now be known as the Carnival. We know that its reveal is imminent thanks to spy shots showing the vehicle in California, but its exact launch date had yet to be confirmed. Until now. Kia announced this week that the press reveal of a new MPV would happen on February 23 and all our Spidey senses tell us that MPV will be the all-new Carnival.

We don't have many details on the launch besides the aforementioned date and the time: 11 AM PST/2 PM EST. That's just 12 days from now, so we won't have to wait too long to confirm our suspicions. Of course, we could be wrong about the new vehicle being the Carnival, since Kia no longer refers to it as an MPV but rather a GUV, or 'Grand Utility Vehicle'. Kia could even be referring to one of the new prototypes spotted testing in the snow recently. However, those vehicles seem to be in the very early stages of development, which brings us back to the Carnival once more, as it's the only MPV-like offering expected to launch this early in the year.

Kia has been very good at keeping details about the US-spec Carnival under wraps, but various reports suggest that we should see the 3.5-liter V6 GDi engine to power the new vehicle with 290 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque. What we do know for sure is that there will be a whopping 102.5 cubic feet of volume with all rear seats folded, along with a pair of 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and driver info. These screens will be covered by a single piece of glass, much like recent Mercedes updates. Either way, we'll have more info on Tuesday the 23rd, when Kia reveals its latest MPV.
