Kia has been grinding through a tough 2020 and has the Sportage and its larger sibling the Telluride to thank for its financial recovery during these trying times. The Kia Sportage has been an excellent seller in the US, and rumors of a new car are floating around with interesting spy shots revealing how the new generation may take shape.

While Kia keeps working on the new car, current customers need tending to, and the best way to keep car-hungry clients at bay is to release a special edition of course. Its latest creation is dubbed the Kia Sportage JBL Black Edition which looks and sounds cool, but will most likely not be coming over to the US.

Kia has launched its latest special edition with the hopes of rallying up some sales before the end of the new year, and has done so with the age old trick of covering a car in black, and sprinkling on some shiny bits. The JLB Black Edition comes with a set of dazzling 17-inch black alloy wheels, some beefy skid plates in the front and back, an aggressive front grille and gloss black roof rails.

On the inside, the VIP theme continues with black leather upholstery. The JBL Edition is based on the Sportage 3 trim-level and comes with standard features such as a panoramic sunroof, LED headlights, an eight-inch infotainment display, and heated front and rear seats.

But what would a JBL Edition be without a banging sound system? This Sportage features an upgraded JBL sound system with a large subwoofer, and customers even get a free portable speaker for when Sally wants to bump Britney at swimming lessons. The UK car is offered with a four-pot 1.6-liter gas engine or a 1.6-liter turbo diesel. The Kia Sportage Black Edition is now on sale and starts from £28,545 (around $38,767 at today's rates).
