Despite what you may think of Kim Kardashian, there's no denying she has great taste in cars. The social media superstar and her family are fond of Rolls Royce, with almost every member of the Kardashian clan owning an example of Goodwood's finest. Aside from her penchant for British luxury cars, Kanye West's ex-wife also owns a rather controversial Cadillac Escalade. With 26-inch alloy wheels and "KK Silver" paintwork, the luxury SUV is an opinion-splitter.
But none of the cars are as special to Kardashian as the latest addition to her fleet. "My favorite baby ever is the Maybach sedan. I love everything about it...if I were to pick one, that's my baby."
The sedan she refers to is, of course, the Mercedes-Maybach S580. With a starting price of $184,900, it's certainly not cheap but looks like a veritable bargain when parked alongside her color-matched Rolls-Royce Ghost and Lamborghini Urus.
The epitome of German luxury was handed over to The Platinum Group, a high-end custom shop that specializes in exclusive vehicles. The S580 was treated to a full respray, painted gray to match its aforementioned stablemates. The subtle shade extends to the chrome trim and badging, giving the large luxury sedan a monochromatic appearance. The lowered body sits on 22-inch wheels, also matched to the understated paintwork. Lastly, the Mercedes-Benz badge was swapped out for a Maybach item.
Kardashian's vision for her trio of luxury cars was for them all to blend in with her $60 million, gray-painted mansion in Hidden Hills. "I wanted my cars to blend in. My house is gray so I wanted them to match the house." The demure hue is a huge departure from the reality star's previously preferred matte silver, seen on her older vehicles.
No mention is made as to whether any interior work has been carried out, but a quick look at the S580's interior will quickly suppress the need for cabin enhancements. It's a special place to be, whether you're seated in the front or rear. The Maybach is the German alternative to luxury stalwarts such as Bentley and Rolls-Royce and, while it carries a far lighter price tag, it's every bit as plush, with reclining rear seats, elegant wood trim, and the softest leather. Optionally, customers can elect to fit a champagne cooler.
The demure set of cars contrasts sharply with a host of other celebrity rides, including Paris Hilton's famed pink-painted Bentley and Jeffree Star's newly-acquired McLaren 765LT. The wealthy mother of four says she has always been a "car girl." Whether or not you're a fan of the monotone collection, there's no denying that Kim Kardashian has exceptional taste when it comes to cars.
