Koenigsegg Announces New Agera RS Will Debut In Geneva

2015 Geneva Motor Show

A more extreme Agera R is on the way.

Apart from its name, the Agera RS, there’s little else known about the new model Koenigsegg has just announced will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The new hypercar will likely be an extreme variant of the Agera R using technologies developed for the Koenigsegg One:1. The Agera R development car that crashed on the Nurburgring could well have been a prototype for the Swedish carmaker’s latest model.

With 1,341 horsepower, the One: 1 is the most powerful car on the planet, and the Agera RS will slot below that and above the 1,140-hp Agera R. An output of around 1,250 hp is a good bet. As soon as we have more details, you’ll be the first to know.
