Only ten examples will be made for a new "luxury network."
With only 125 examples to be made, the new Koenigsegg Jesko is bound to be an exclusive set of wheels. But this version will be even more so.
It's the Koenigsegg Jesko Cherry Red Edition, and it'll be limited to just ten examples. The special-edition hypercar has been commissioned by the appropriately named "luxuryandexpensive" – described as "the world's biggest luxury network" and founded by the same people behind wheelsandmore. Just what sets the Cherry Red Edition apart, exactly, hasn't been detailed. But as you can see, it features a special red paintjob to contrast with its exposed carbon-fiber accents.
Not that the Jesko needed much to make it more special than it already is, mind you. The latest model from the ultra-exclusive, super-exotic Swedish hypercar manufacture behind the Agera and Regera, the new Koenigsegg Jesko packs a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 tuned to deliver 1,262 horsepower on regular gasoline, or as much as 1,578 hp on an E85 bio-ethanol blend – with 1,160 lb-ft of torque to go with it.
The biggest innovation, however, may be the so-called Light Speed Transmission – a new type of gearbox that uses multiple clutches to deliver even more seamless power delivery than a conventional dual-clutch transmission.
With everything that's gone into it, the Jesko is sure to shatter the 278-mph top speed achieved by the previous Koenigsegg Agera RS, and could emerge as one of the first street-legal vehicles to crack the 300-mph barrier. But it'll have to tangle with a new breed of hypercars to distinguish itself against the likes of the Aston Martin Valkyrie, Mercedes-AMG One, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, and Pininfarina Battista. Whatever speeds of which it proves itself capable, and however it measures up, it sure looks the part – especially in this spectacular shade of cherry red.
