Limited edition model is out to beat Bugatti’s top speed world record.
Koenigsegg has announced it's coming to the 2014 Geneva Motor Show and word on the street is that the limited edition One:1 will be spearheading the Swedish carmaker’s showcase. The hypercar maker plans to make just six units, all of which have already found buyers. Company founder Christian von Koenigsegg said in a recent interview the Agera-based supercar will have a theoretical top speed of over 280 mph but tires will limit the car ever reaching that.
The One:1 nameplate comes from the fact it will boast one hp per kilogram – it will have 1,400 of each – and is expected to break a host of new accelerating records including 0-124 mph, 0-186 mph and 0-248 mph. The latter is expected to be clocked in just 20 seconds, while Koenigsegg also has his sights on the 268 mph world record top speed set by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport WRE.
