Koenigsegg One: 1 Races a Volvo Truck in Most One-Sided Track Battle Ever

Can the truck complete one lap in the time it takes for the Koenigsegg to do two?

We’ve seen our fair share of lob-sided track battles, but pairing the Koenisegg One: 1 – arguably the fastest car in the world right now – with a Volvo FH truck is a mismatch of epic proportions. Nonetheless, it has happened. Volvo wants to showcase the fact its heavy-duty truck is the first to receive a twin-clutch gearbox. The Swedish carmaker’s I-Shift system works much in the same as Porsche’s PDK system, and Volvo wants to make the sports car connection by racing its compatriot’s 1,340-hp supercar.

Tiff Needell pilots the truck while Koenigsegg’s chief test driver is behind the wheel of the One:1. Can the truck complete one lap in the time it takes for the Koenigsegg to do two? That's the challenge.
