UK supercar fans are in for a treat next month, as Koenigsegg has confirmed the One: 1 hypercar will take part in the Michelin Super Car run at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. A second model will be on static display at the tire company's stand. Derived from the Agera R, the Koenigsegg One: 1 has a perfect power-to-weight ratio: weighing 1,341 kg and delivering 1,341 hp from its 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8. Koenigsegg claims the One: 1 has a top speed of 273 mph, making it the fastest production car in the world.

Koenigsegg says the One:1's "high power and high-rpm capability in combination with strong tires and active aero" is what makes this speed possible. Highlights of the One:1 include its carbon-fiber chassis, active aerodynamics, active ride height, titanium exhaust, and variable-stiffness suspension. The active aeros, consisting of independent flaps under the front splitter and a hydraulic dual-plan rear wing, enables the One: 1 to produce 610 kg of downforce at 160 mph. Pricing has yet to be released, but Koenigsegg has confirmed all six units have been sold. The Goodwood FOS runs from June 26-29.
